ead before I94 extension

Hi,
My ead has expired in apr 2010, and I94 expires in august 2010, Could anyone please tell me if I apply for a new ead in may will they process it or should i apply only after my husbands I94 has been extended?

If you appply for a new EAD in May, based on your current I-94 you will get an EAD only till expiry date of the I-94. But then, EAD will take anywhere between 2-3 months. By the time you receive your EAD, it will be ready to expire.
