I am currently working in the US. My H1B was approved and it started on October 1st of this year. I came to India and went for my visa stamping on October 15th to the Kolkata consulate. The interviewer told me that the request has been accepted and I would be notified in 2-3 days but I haven't heard back since. The DS-160 status shows as "Administrative Processing" and the passport status shows as "Your passport is with the US consulate". Is there a possibility that my visa request may be rejected even though it was approved when I was in the US? I might be jumping the gun here.

Just in case anyone visits this post in the future, here is the timeline for my visa processing:
October 10th: Biometrics
October 15th: Visa Interview
October 15th: Status updated to 'Admin Processing'
October 24th: 'Case last updated' date updated but status still 'Admin Processing'
October 25th: Status updated to 'Issued'
October 28th: Received notification for passport pick up
