H1- B Extension beyond six years

I have got H1-B rfe, and my six years on H1-B are completing in Oct 2019. However, I still have project to work till next year.

I have got to know that I am still good to file for an extension till the project end date, even after completing six years on H1-B.

Can someone share thoughts on this. Thanks much.
