Travel and re-enter after resignation

I am planning to quit my job sometime in May and return to India in July. My h1b is stamped till Sep 30, 2010. What if I want to travel out of country (close to North America) and re-enter in June, then wind up here in the US and return to India. Can I do that after I quit my job? Can I re-enter on my h1b that has been stamped, even though I am technically no longer employed?

No. You shouldn't enter once you are not on job. Whatever time you are on h1b, you should be on job. Did you think, what will happen if they will ask employment letter/client letter while you will try to re-enter?
