H1B extension stamping and password expiry

Hi Members,

I am going to india in June for my H1B Visa Extension stamping and also my wife will be coming with me for H4 stamping.
My passport expires in Feb 2011.
1)Do you think I need a new passport for the H1B Visa Extension stamping?
2)How long will they give stamp validity since the passport is expiring in Feb 2011?
3)Do you suggest to apply for a passport renewal now, since its only 1 month left?

I will appreciate if you could answers these questions and provide me with some guidance with your experiance.

>> Very much advisable to get a new passport.

2)How long will they give stamp validity since the passport is expiring in Feb 2011?
>>> Sometimes they could give you a visa only till the passport expiry date. Even if you get a visa for a longer period, you can get an I-94 only till the passport expiry date.

3)Do you suggest to apply for a passport renewal now, since its only 1 month left?
>>> Yes. Passport renewal in U.S takes about 20 days.
