I am currently on H1b visa in the US and will be getting married end of December in India.
1. Is it fine to apply for H4 visa(file DS 160) for my spouse and schedule an interview date right now before marriage as the slots get filled out fast. Like we are getting married on December 21st and planning to schedule interview after we get the marriage certificate probably by January first week.
2. And if it is fine to apply for H4 visa before marriage, what should be filled in the "marital status" with me? Single or married?
