Urgent help needed : H1B amendment - location change

I am in US since 2007. Earlier I was on F1 and after getting the job, I moved on H1. Till now I have not done H1 visa stamping in my passport.
I was working in location A when my H1 got approved. then my office location got changed and I moved to location B which is approx 40 miles away from location A. I have read that if distance is manageable then there is no need to apply for H1B amendment. Only LCA will work. Is it true? Is there some specific time limit during which one should file LCA after location change or LCA can be filed after few months of location change?

I need to leave for my home country in few days and I am in need of urgent help .

LCA is required if you change the work location or the client or your designation changes. For H1B amendment, check the below link.

One more question: Is there some time limit to apply for LCA after location change? Like in my case, its been more than 3 months that my location has got changed but somehow I missed appplying for LCA. At this time can I still apply for LCA or do I need to go for H1B amendment? Someone told me that in this case, I need to go for H1B amendment. so I need some expert opinion.

Usually LCA should be applied before changing the location. You can still do it now.
