seriously urjent

hi
i had received a green 221 g hand out at delhi embassy last month...i had submited the documents after some time...now i had received an email asking me to drop my passport at VFS...i have a few questions here

1)is it possible to get my passport stamped and collect it on the same day.

2)what will be the time line to submit my passport.

plz give me some suggestions here as it is really urjent....
any help is really appreciated....
