  • H1B status not updated after 60 days

I have a strange problem, my H1 status is not updated after 60days and still the status is in initial review wherein my dependents H4 approved and received paper. Have anyone experienced such problem.

Each application is processed individually. This is not a strange problem. Wait for 30 more days and you should get a decision by then.

Thanks Shervin, after a month also still I didn't receive any update on my H1B status and depends received H4 hard-copy almost 40days before. Is there any way we can check the status (other than USCIS site)

        Your message is not clear!
Do you mean to say the I-797 Notice of Approval has not come after 60 days OR do you mean that your Administrative Processing is not complete even after 60 days?

I didn't understand "administrative processing", I applied H1 transfer for self & dependents and my dependents received H4 approval notice 40 days before but my case still in "initial review" status in uscis site.

Ask your attorney to inquire with your case number - using which you can see your status on uscis site.

If your extension is pending for more than 90 days, then your company attorney can take an info pass appointment with USCIS to discuss your case in person. Read about "Info pass" appointments in the "Visas" section of immihelp. Usual timeframe is 2-3 months. So have a little bit of patience if it is not yet 90 days.
