Travelling to India and get H1 stamping

Hello,

I got my H1-B approved till Sept 30th 2011, I wanted to go to India for a visit.

I am planning to go there once my project ends (mostly in couple of months).

my questions are :

1)How difficult to get the stamping in India (Chennai consulate) ,without client letter (I wont have client letter if i am not on the project).

2)is it advisable to go to Toronto and get the visa stamped (I can manage two or three days off from the project and get a client letter).How sure that we can get the visa stamping in canada ..?

3)is there any issue if I get stamped from Canada and visit india and come back after my project over (like any issue at POE for client letter ..?)

4)Is there any issues like this for the H4 visa stamping ..? ,means if I can send my wife to india and she can go for stamping ..does this req any kind of client letter for H1-b holder ,etc ..there

Really really appreciate if any one can please give an honest openion.

99% difficult without client letter either chennai or calcutta or bombay or any xyz place

Not advisable. In this kind of win-win situation best option is home country only.

If you are lucky then you will through from POE but if they ask for client letter then you will have to go back to india.

Now a days, from somewhere on this forum itself I read couple of months back that for h4 also, they are asking primary holders work details. Chances are less that they will ask, but still chance is there.
