Hello team,
I am currently working on L1B visa with X company , company has now sponsored my H1B and its approved now. However rather than auto status change they opted for counsellor processing, which means I need to travel back to India and appear for an interview. The location which was given in petition was chennai consulate.
Questions:
1. Can I accept offer while on L1B , initiate transfer of H1B and then travel to India and get visa stamped until transfer process goes on.
2. Can I change consulate location from Chennai to somewhere nearby such as Canada or Mexico ?
3. In case I travel to India for h1b stamping on current company and get an RFE, can I still travel back to US on my L1B ? Do I get the passport back while on RFE ?
