Apply H1-B while in L1..

Hi,

I am in US now working on L1 visa for one of our client. My L1 visa is valid till 2013. I have below queries.

1.Am I eligible to apply for H1-B now..? Will it be a problem to my current job..?
2. I am looking for a trustable consultant who can guide me in H1 process..Any help or contact details would be appreciated..
