Can H1 stay beyond 240 days if decision is pending

Hi,

I am holding H1B. My 240 Days grace period is getting overbb 9th April, 2020. I have got an RFE and response is filed. Not able to convert to premium as it is suspended now. Can I stay beyond 240 day period waiting for the decision as traveling now is risky amidst Corona pandemic. Is there any way for expedite procsessing.

Hi,
As per my knowledge, you can stay beyond 240 days but can not work after that until you get the positive decision.
