Mrriage Certificate

Hi,

I had got married 5 months back but I had not done my mariage registration. Now I am filing for an H1. However as I am a muslim, it wil take atleast month until I get my Marriage certificate.

1. Is there any way I can still file my H1 ?

2. Any chance I can do the H1 without showing dependent (My wife) details now and do it later once I get the certificate?

Please help.

Marriage certificate is not required to file H1B. It is required only when you file H4 for your wife. Unless the marriage is registered, the consulate wouldn't consider you married.
