Hi,
I’m working for a non-profit organization holding a cap exempt H1B visa and stamping as well. I’m currently in the USA on H1B status. Recently, I got an offer from a for-profit organization and they applied for the H1B lottery. It got picked in the lottery.
I’m having following questions which needs clarification
1) Can I travel abroad on my non-profit job and cap exempt H1B and stamping, after the lottery H1B is approved without joining the for-profit organization and start working for for-profit after returning from abroad?
2) Can I hold my lottery H1B start date for 1 - 2 months after approval as I have a notice period of 1 month to serve in my current company ? (I’m asking this because if 1 month notice crosses the start date of lottery H1B approval).
Please clarify these questions.
