H1B Stamping Question

Hello All

Here is my situation:

--My H1B started on Dec, 04
--My new employer filed a H1B transfer on Dec 15,04 and am starting to work with them from end of Jan,05
--I have my OPT till May, 05

Questions:

1. Can I go for H1B stamping to Mexico or Canada on my current H1B approval notice when a different employer filed a transfer.

2. I have a situation where I might need to go India for a week or more in Feb, 05. Can I just go to India on my OPT and come back on it to USA

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
