  • B1 to H1: Consulate officer asked for change of status document

One of my friend's wife appeared for her H4 visa interview yesterday, my friend recently got his visa status changed from B1 to H1B
The consulate officer asked for change of status document, she produced I-129 form along with all the supplements but was given a 221(g)

Does anyone has an idea which document is specifically change of status document?

What should be the next step to get her visa cleared.

    Thanks!!

I-797 approval notice with the attached I-94 is the change of status document.

      Hi Shervin,
Thanks for your prompt reply, how can we go about to submit I-797A & get the Visa cleared out ASAP.

There should be information marked on the 221g form handed out. Otherwise, you will need to contact the consulate or the VFS helpdesk.
