Query- Eligibility for EB2 Filing

Hello
One of my friend completed his Masters and got the degree certificate after the OPT period started( due to research papers etc, graduation got delayed).
Eventually, he got his H1B approved and hes working now. His employer is interested in doing GC filing for him. Does he qualify to file under EB2 Category.

---- The EB2 category depends on requirements of the job by the employer. The employer defines if Masters qualification is required for the job or even a bachelor's degree holder can do
