H1b extension using I140 after job title change

Hi i was recently promoted to Information technology manager. My I140 was filed when i was a sr software engineer. For getting next extension do i need to amend/ change my i140

H1 & Greencard (I-140, I-485) are two different processes.
For H1 renewal based on an I-140, you should be good.

For Greencard process, a title change alone does not warrant an amendment / new filing.

However, if there is a change to the job description (includes direct reports, more managerial work, etc.) your company should run this by an attorney to make sure that a new filing is not required.
