H1B from different companies - expiry date

Hi :

I came to US thru company A, with visa stamping till Sept 1st, 2010.
I have moved to company B on Jan 2009, they filed for H1 transfer
but got only till May 31st 2010.

My company ( company B) filed for extension on June 1st 2010.

Once my petition gets approved, Can I travel to India and return before Sept 1st 2010, with out going for stamping ?

If Yes, till what time I can return back to US with out stamping ?

Yes, you can return with old visa.

Yes, you can do it even on the last day of visa. But leaving a week should be good.

Hope you do understand that you may get the I-94 only till the visa expiry date. Assume that your visa & petition expires on 1st August and you enter U.S on 31st July. You are technically allowed to do so. However, you will get an I-94 only for 1 day and the officer at the POE may ask you to show the return ticket for 20th sept. So be prepared for all that.
