Question regarding "State of Residence"

Hi,

My wife needs to go for H4 visa stamping (Its a renewal). My home state is Andhra Pradesh. As i am not able to find the dates in Hyderabad in July, i took the appointment for Chennai consulate. After booking the appointment i could see the State of Residence as Tamilnadu. I don't remember where the option was while filling in the form for appointment.

Will this be a problem when she goes for the visa stamping? If yes, is there any way i change the state of residence?

I am really worried after i saw the interview letter. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this.

State of Residence on interview letter

Hi,

I got a reply from Chennai consulate that i need to change the state of residence to Andhra Pradesh. They asked to cancel and book the appointment again.

As i have to select "An Indian Citizen resident in US" option for H4 visa, State of Residence option disappears.

My worry is, if i cancel and try to redo the appointment and if i don't find this option elsewhere it will not be worthy taking the risk.

Any suggestions?
