H4-->h1-->h4???

Hello FOlks,

Please help me clear this doubt?

I am on H-4 visa.I have got a Professor who is willing to sponsor my H-1B for research job in a university.

The Prof says that currently she has funds to pay me for 6 months and after that depending on couple of grants she says will continue to fund me.

My question is if I consider the worst case scenario , and the prof is unable to fund me after 6 months on H-1, will I be able to come back on H-4??

Later , during any stage , will I be able to go back to H-1 if I find an employer??
