I am in the US on H1b visa for last few years.
I got married in India earlier this year, but could not get the marriage certificate processing done due to shortage of time, as i had to comeback to US sooner.
Now I am in US and the wife is in India. So for getting her H4 visa, i'll need to get a marriage certificate.
I have an option to get it done from india in my absence but I am not sure if it will cause any issues during visa interview.
Because if they verify dates of my stay in US against the marriage certificate's registration date (i.e. i came back to US in Feb. 2020 and now if marriage certificate's registration date is of Aug. 2020) that'll be problem.
Can someone advice me on this?
If there's another better option of getting marriage certificate while I am here and wife is in India? or any other way around it?
