Hi all,
I was on OPT employment in USA and my H-1B application was approved in August 2019. I haven’t travelled to India since then but I was able to schedule my visa interview in Hyderabad for February 2021. My only concern before I make travel plans for my interview is if the US Consulate in Hyderabad will honor this appointment?
With the H-1B ban (which I am not sure if it impacts me) and the current processing of only certain types of visas, I am not sure if I should travel to India. And now I'm also hearing that the consulate will be cancelling all appointments for Feb/March 2021.
I know there's a lot of uncertainty but I really need to go in February for my wedding because if not, they're going to call if off. I'm really at my wits end here.
Any advise is appreciated.
