H4 to F1 conversion risks

Hi All,

I am currently on H1B visa and my wife is on H4 pursuing her graduate degree.
My Green card application is in the final stage and had filed my I485 (during the 2007 rush, before my marriage). Lawyers had advised waiting for my priority date to become current, before adding my wife to the application.

My wife plans to graduate next summer and we were wondering, given my GC situation, if she can convert from H4 to F1 easily without any risks?

Please advise.

No issues. Your spouse doesn't need to be in H4 status for you add her to your GC.
