    My Status

    Hi,

    I am in OPT status and working as a full time employee and my company has applied for my H1b. What will happen to my status if I quit my company and join another company? Please help me, it is very important as I am planning to join another company.

    Also, after my H1b status starts, can I go to home country to get stamping when H1b starts immediately or how many valid H1b paystubs should I carry with me for stamping?

    You can join, of course.

    2-3 latest pay stubs.

        Until Oct 1st, you will not be in H1B status (assuming your H1B gets approved as a COS).
