    I am a newbie to this forum. Let me shed some light on my case:

    Education : MS in a reputed University in USA
    OPT: worked for a reputed Banking Firm
    Filed H1-B (First): mid-size Desi Consulting Company in NJ (Under foreign students who complete a master's degree or higher from a U.S. university)
    Occupation: Consulting.
    Work Model: Employer – Vendor – End Client

    Things moved smooth until hit by recession and job cuts,
    NJ Desi Company refuses to file for H1-B extension. Plans to Sell his company to one more Desi Consulting Company. (when ?- not sure)
    Search begins for a new company.

    New Potential employer: based in Michigan
    Work model: Employer – Vendor – End Client
    Applied for H1-B (Second) : September 2009
    Received RFE: October first week, 2009
    Responded to RFE : October last week, 2009
    H1-B Petition Rejection Notice: November last week, 2009

    Applied for H1-B (Third): With MI Company – December First week 2009
    Received Approved H1-B: Feburary 2010
    Visa Interview Date: march 15, 2010
    Consulate: US Embassy New Delhi
    Outcome: VO keeps the passport and Client letter and tells me more verification is needed on my case. Does not give me any colored letter ( blue/pink/yellow/green/white) , NO NOPE NADA !
    Visa Rejection Notice: Got reply – April 10th, 2010 (visa rejected because my petitioner not able to provide proper employment in US

    Search Begins for a New Company.
    New Potential Employer: based In California
    Work Model: Work on Company’s InHouse Product.
    Applied for H1-B (Fourth): May 13th, 2010
    RFE – NONE.
    Approved H1-B Petition: may 26th, 2010
    Visa Interview Date: June 18th, 2010
    Consulate: US Embassy, Chennai
    Outcome: after Interview, VO Returns Passport, I-797, I-129 and LCA with BLUE FORM (221G) requesting additional documents.
    June 25th, 2010: Employer sends all requested documents
    June 29th, 2010: went to VFS (Bangalore) Office. Submitted all the requested documents + Passport + Copy of DS160 Confirmation page + Complete I-797, I-129, LCA + BLUE FORM (221G)

    21 days and waiting……
    Anyone on board ?

    Wait for another 2 weeks. After that ask your company attorney to check with USISC / DOL. Or with the reference number of yor 221G, you can also contact them through phone or email and check your status.
    This is very common now a days. On the name of administrative process, they are holding the process for 4 to 5 weeks which is very uncommon compared to past years.
