  • Six months old 221(g) white slip for H1B visa

    Hi,

I have been issued 221(g) white slip in Jan 2010 by Mumbai consulate for H1B visa. My employer is now going to send me all the required documents. It's already been six months since I was issued 221(g). As per 221(g) I need to attend the interview in person. What are the chances that I will get visa in this case? Has anyone attended the interview after six months or more? Will consulate ask me to submit the documents and put the application under administrative processing or will I get result on the spot? Please help me to understand the further procedure.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

There is no way to say if you will get the visa or not. It is at the descretion of the interviewing officer. You received the 221(g) because they required more documents from you. As far as I am aware, there is no real way to tell.
