Can I interview after my 60 days grace is over since I have valid H1B?

Hi,

I lost my job few months ago due to covid and my 60 days grace period is over. I applied for change of status to H4 and H4 EAD as my spouse has H1B.

My H1B is valid till 2022 so I was wondering, instead of waiting for my H4 EAD, can I still apply for jobs and request the company to apply for a H1B transfer?

Hi,
You can Transfer your H1B. But, as you mentioned your 60 days grace period is over, you will need to leave country as soon as possible.. If you filed your H4 and got receipt notice then you can be in USA.. Another option is, leave country and get H4 visa stamped then reenter to USA also another way.. Meanwhile, you will need to check, whether your H1B Sponsored Employer withdraw your H1B approval... Please consider all of these then take action..
