Can multiple companies apply for my H1B?

As we get close to the season for applying H1B, can multiple companies not related in any way apply for H1B for the same individual in the same year? I thought duplicates will be disqualified? Can someone share any details or experiences they have????

Hi,
You may apply multiple H1B with different Employer But each position should be different.. Two or more Employer can not file petition for same client and same position.. If Employer has different position that they can offer then they may file.. But, Please note, always multiple H1B filings are risky..

That answers my question. But what if the end client changes after my employer applies for my H1B? I'm currently on TN work permit.
