I am currently on H1B status and have following questions:
1) Can I take leave without pay for 2 weeks because my vacations are no more? Would that affect my status?
2) My friend is on OPT right now working with company A and has got the approval notice for H1B from the same company which is going to kick-in on Oct 1, 2010. But in the past he also got one more approval notice from company B which he has already left before joining company A. Company B has not revoked his petition yet and assuming that they will not revoke it even after Oct 1, is it okay if he continues working for his current company (company A) with company A's approval notice? I mean should he worry about company B's approval notice which he already left? Please suggest.
