H4 EAD query - presence in US when applying ??

Hi Team,

I had a query on H4 EAD. Can we apply for H4 EAD for spouse if the spouse is presently in India . Is US presence mandatory when applying for H4 EAD ?omegle xender

Hi,
Yes. You need to be in USA in order to file EAD. You can get H4 at USA consulate. But, for filing H4 EAD you will need to physically be in USA.. Please note, Once you get H4 visa then only you can file H4 EAD.
