  • L1 to H1B Visa

    Hi,

I am currently working in USA with L1 Visa and I also have H1B visa from another employer (but not yet stamped). As my current employer provided me long term project, I am currently in USA with L1.

My question is, can I get H1B Visa stamped in USA itself and can move on to other companies with H1B Visa.

Or, tell me who would be the best company can apply my fresh H1B Visa now and how to convert from L1B to H1B

The company that sponsored your H1B or a new company can apply for a COS (Change of status) from L1 to H1B. When the COS gets approved, you can work on H1B for that company without having to leave the country. Visa is just an entry document. You don't need visa stamping when you are already in U.S.
