  • Question

Your website is great. Much more comprehensive than others. There was one point I was unclear about. If a person is in the US on an H1-B Visa in the initial 3 year term and the employer is looking to extend, is just an I 129 required (and supporting documentation) or is the I-539 also required? The person is single and is in the States alone. The info at https://www.immihelp.com/extend-non-immigrant-stay-in-the-united-states/ seems to read like the I-539 is only required if there is a family her also but doesn’t say that explicitly. I find the info on the USCIS site (and the form instructions) to also be less than clear as the instructions apply to multiple visa types.

I have successfully filed for new H1-B visa and also transfers, but I haven’t filed the extension yet and wanted to make sure I have all of the forms.

If you don’t know, do you know where I could get the answer?

    Thanks!!
