No appointments available in Chennai

I am trying to get an appointment with US Consulate in Chennai but looks like there are absolutely no dates available.

Has anyone recently taken an appointment? What is the trend like now?
I need to travel in the 1st week of September and here I am stuck without getting an appointment!

I am also waiting to book the appointment in Sept. Dates are not opened up for renewal yet.
