H4 B visa extension

I filed my H4B extension in March and it is still under processing. What happens if the primary H1B holder gets separated from his current employment. At the same time if he gets a new job and his new H1B gets approved. Do I need to file a new H4B extension with new H1B details or I can upload new H1B details on my existing H4B extension.
Please advice.

Hi,
I am bit confused with your question.. But per my understanding, I can answer for your question.
If you filed H1B Ext along with H4 Ext and H1B Ext got already approved but H4 is still pending then you need not to worry. When H1B holder gets new project and it needs material change/Location change, they can file H1B Amendment. At the time of filing H1B Amendment petition, need not to file H4 petition again.
If H1B holder is transferring his H1B to another Employer at the time H4 Ext is still pending then you will need to run another petition along with H1B transfer petition..
And, you can not include/send any additional documents separately after you filed the petition.. When you receive RFE to request the documents/Information only you can able to send the documents.

I didn't file h4b along with h1b. The scenario is bit tricky. When my husband got h1b approved, I filed my h4b along with his approval notice. Till date it is showing under processing, biometric is also done. Meanwhile he got separated from his job. The h1b grace period kicks in. Luckily within the grace period he got a new job, and his new h1b is also approved. Since my h4b is still under processing so do I need to file again with new h1b details or I can upload the new h1b details on the existing application.

If your spouse just filed H1B Amendment then you dont need to file H4 petition again.. The current H4 petition will be under process only. And as I mentioned, you can not include any documents after you filed the petition. At the time of RFE only you can provide the documents as per the request.
