  • H1B Fee paid by employer at the time of filing petetion but need to pay H4 visa fees

    Hello,

My employer has paid H1B visa fees at the time of filing H1B Petetion but I need to pay H4 visa fees before booking the visa appointment for group ds160 application.

To ensure that I do not have to pay H1B fees to book my visa appointment, is there an option on the interview booking portal to mention that my H1B visa fees has been paid by my employer? Do I need to attach the H1B payment receipts after obtaining them from my employer? Or is it implied that H1B visa fees is taken care by my employer and just petition number needs to be mentioned for booking interview slot for H1B along with payment receipts of h4 visa?

    Hi,
What do you mean that, Employer had paid H1B visa fees at the time of filing petition? Are you referring to H1B application fees? If so, that is not visa fees. Visa fees you will need to pay to US embassy. Once you fill DS 160 form, Just create ustraveldocs account then you can make payment before scheduling an appointment.

Question: Is there an option on the interview booking portal to mention that my H1B visa fees has been paid by my employer?
Answer: As I mentioned already, H1B petition(I-129) filing fees is different and H1B visa fees is different.. You will need to make payment before scheduling an appointment.

Answer: In the ustraveldocs page, you will need to surely mention H1B receipt number. But that is not going to help to schedule an appointment.. you will need to make payment for all the visa applicants.
    Thanks

Your employer paid for the H1 application and approval paperwork.

what you are referring to is the H1 visa stamp at a US consulate. This visa sticker is only needed to enter the US. The employer has no obligation to any the visa fees for your dependents. So go ahead, pay it and get the stamp. Once you enter the US, you can ask your employer’s HR or mobility group if the visa stamping fee is reimbursable.
