  • H1B approved in Jan 2021, but stamping pending due to Covid.

Hi Team, My H1B was approved in Jan 2021 however stamping is not done due to Covid situations. All stamping center shows as closed or emergency appointments. And no one has an idea when stamping will resume. In this case, i dont have any option other than 'WAIT n Watch'.. What option do i have in this case..

Can i go for stamping outside my country where the it at least shows number of calendar days for appointments...
What if it does not get stamp for a year or two..

    Hi,
Are you presently in the USA or your home country?
If you are in your home country, your H1B will be approved with consular process. In the approval notice, they would have mentioned which consulate, you will need to get your Visa. Based on that, you will need to plan for visa not any other location.
If you are in the USA, you will be getting H1B Approval with change of status. So, Its not compulsory to go for visa stamping until you have a plan for travel. If you have a travel plan and visiting your home country, Its better to obtain your first visa on H1B from your home country.
    Thanks
