H1B Visa stamp expired.. Can I transfer company on I-797 extension?

Hi,

My H1B Visa stamp expired in December, 2020 but I have a valid I797 extension. Can I transfer to another company on my extension or do I need H1B visa stamp for it? I am little bit confused as the new company asked for H1B visa, I797 and I-94.

Hi,
As long as you got H1B Ext approval with I-94 then it is not compulsory to go for visa stamping.. If you have any travel plan to your home country that time you can plan for stamping. But, transferring H1B to another Employer will not require stamping.
