Entering US on F-1 visa (OPT) just before start date of H1B

My start date for H1B is coming soon, my H1B application was approved for change of status. Since I can't get H1B stamping done due to wait times, can I travel and return on F-1 visa (OPT) just a few days before H1B start date?

Yes. That is possible. But, recommendation is to get H1B stamped while you are in travel as you got H1B Approved with change of status. Sometimes, you may have a questions from CBP officer at the time of port of entry.
