Possibility of getting a 221g in an H1B visa interview

I need to appear for an H1B visa interview in the next few weeks.
I am hearing that more number of candidates are getting 221g refusal these days.

Does anyone know what all documents should be carried in order to avoid this denial as this usually happens when the consular officer needs more details from a Candidate. Also hearing that people are being asked to deposit their passport and collect them when the travel ban is over. Some are not being given NIE and have been asked to contact the embassy once travel ban is lifted for either re interview or to get the passports stamped.

Need to know how frequently these cases are happening nowadays.

Hi,
221G notice will be given for two reasons.
1. If Consular officer needs more documentation
2. If they require some more time for administrative processing. During this time they may verify about Employer, Employee Job offers, End clients or security back ground checking or any others.
But, basically Please keep below mentioned documents for visa stamping..
1. H1B Approval notice
2. Form I-129 Full petition package
3. Most recent I-94 copy
4. Project related documents
5. Letters from all the parties who involves in the project with recent dated.
6. Copy of passport
7. Employer brochure
8. Most recent paystubs
9. Most recent W2 form
10. Employer tax return documents( If necessary)
11. In this situation, If you can able to get NIE letter from Employer and End client would be really helpful

And If you are not eligible for NIE, they may refuse your visa and will ask you to reschedule the Interview once Presidential Proclamation is solved.
