H1B Transfer & Extension.....Urgent!

My H1B is going to expire on Sep-27-2010.

Now, I got client letter and I am going to apply for extension.

In the letter there is a mention of my employer who is currently holding my H1B.

Question:

1) If I want to apply for H1 transfer and extension through a different employer, can i do that with the same client letter?
2) As there is a mention of my original employer in the letter, if I apply for extension and transfer at the same time through a different employer, what are my chances on this?

You will need a new client letter mentioning the new employer name.
Will the client be the same even after you change the employer?
