My H1B petition is approved from Nov 10. Can I go now and do the stamping or do I have to wait till Oct end to get the visa stamped.

---- Yes, you can go now to a US Consulate closer to your place of residence. Duccessfully get the visa stamaped oon the Passpor and vome to the US

You can go and get the stamping done now. However, you can travel only 10 days prior to the petition effective date.

I got my H1B VISA approval today at the Kolkata consulate. I always wished I could share my experiences as well and today is my day!

Here are the questions. The lady Visa Officer(VO) was so cool and well behaved.

VO: Good Morning Sir
Myself: Good Morning ma'am
VO: So, where are you going to the US?
Myself: YYYY city in YYYY state
VO: What are your highest educational qualifications?
Myself: YYYY X
VO: Have you read the booklet which was given to you?
Myself: Yes, I have.
VO: Please give your finger prints..
Myself: <<gave them in the biometric screen located nearby>>
VO: For how long have you been working?
Myself: XX years
VO: Are you married?
Myself: No
VO: Do you declare that all information provided by you are true?
Myself: Yes
VO: Your VISA has been approved. Have a safe travel.
Myself: Thank you ma'am.

H1B should not cause much issues. Just be confident and prepared for any kinds of questions and most importantly, have all documents ready and in order.
