H1B Stamping, DS160, New Employer

Hi all,

I got my H1B approved by Employer A and I have not got my H1B stamping done yet. I have booked my visa slot with petitioner name as - Employer A. But my visa slot got cancelled by consulate due to COVID. Now I am planning to move to Employer B.

1. Can I transfer to Employer B without the visa stamping ?
2. If I can transfer, Do I have to redo my DS160 with Employer B details ?
3. Can I reuse my old MRV fee to book a new slot again ?

Hi,
Here is my response.
1. Can I transfer to Employer B without the visa stamping ?
Answer: As long as you have valid I-94 and you are still in the USA, your new Employer can file H1B transfer petition.
2. If I can transfer, Do I have to redo my DS160 with Employer B details ?
Answer: If you would have submitted DS 160 form then you can not edit the details that you filled. You will need to fill new DS 160 with recent most details. If you have not submitted then you can edit with latest details.
3. Can I reuse my old MRV fee to book a new slot again ?
Answer: Yes. You can. You may reschedule the appointments up to 5 times.
