Travel with previous H1B stamp

Hello,

I am working on a H1B visa (visa stamp from employer A is valid till December 31, 2021).
I have recently moved to employer B and got a new I-797 (with a new I-94 on it) which is valid till July, 2024.
I will be travelling to India next month. Just wanted to confirm that I don't need a visa stamping on my passport as it already has stamping valid until Dec 31, 2021 (from employer A though).
It is not mandatory to stamp again since I moved to employer B. Employer A stamping can be used to enter back to US.
Is my understanding correct?

Hi,
Yes. if you travel back on or before your current visa expires then not required at all. But best advise is, If you plan for visa extension for now, you will be eligible for drop box( Interview waiver). Therefore, Please plan accordingly.

Thanks for your response.
I wish I could but I will be travelling to India for two weeks only and during COVID times, you might know its really hard to get a drop box time slot.
And, if something gets delayed, I don't want to get in a hassle of waiting and waiting
Do you think I will be asked at the port of entry that as my employed changed why I did not get a new stamp?

Answer: As I mentioned already, within approved visa duration you can travel. Your change of Employment will not make any difference or complications. If you plan during these period, Just carry necessary documents for supporting.
