Question regarding H1B transfer out: Can I use Vacation time on old employer?

I am on H1B. If I change job and my new employer's H1B petition is approved, can I start working for the new employer, and at the same time, remain on the payroll of the old employer by taking sick leave, take vacation, or take bereavement leave?

Answer: You can start working with New Employer with the help of receipt notice too. But, Once you join new Employer, you will need to leave the previous company and they will need to withdraw H1B petition that they filed behalf of you.
You can not work for both the companies unless you file the petition under category of new concurrent Employment.
