  • New passport for H1B stamping

I'm planning to go back to China for my H1B stamping this Nov. US Embassy requires a passport valid for one year for any visa interviews. Mine will expire in 6 months. Since I want to secure an visa interview asap, can I use my current passport ID to make an appointment with the US Embassy instead of waiting for my new passport and then making the appointment? Getting a new passport here from Chinese Embassy will at least take a month. I am afraid that I will miss the Nov appointment spot if I wait for a month.

    Anyone can help?

    Yes, you can do that.
Even if they stamp visa on your old passport, you still can carry both
