Can H1B visa holders work permanently from india If they take up a 100% remote opportunity from a new employer ?
Also can they return back to the USA after their GC priority date becomes current ?

Can H1B visa holders work permanently from india If they take up a 100% remote opportunity from a new employer ?
Answer: You can work remotely.. But your status will not be an H1B. Once you leave the country, your Non-immigrant status will not be with you.. It will be activated again once you cross port of entry and have I-94 entry.
Also can they return back to the USA after their GC priority date becomes current ?
Answer: Yes. You can come to the country any time. But at that time, you will need a valid status to enter into the USA. If you want to file Adjustment of status petition then you will need valid Non immigrant status while you file the petition.
