Hi! When my employer petitioned for my H1B, they had to specify an office location where I would be working. At that time, this company only had an opening far from home so I accepted the job despite the distance. Now, they have several openings close to home. I requested a transfer but they said they cannot because my H1B petition bears the location of my work to be at the location where I am now. Is this true? Can't I be transferred because of this? I will be working for the same company anyway just a closer location to home. Please help. Thanks!
