Hi,
I will be getting married in Dec and plan to apply for an H4 visa and enter US as a dependent with my husband (he's on H1B).
While filling the DS160 form in the "Work and Education background" section - the first question asked is current employment status - which has many options. But in my case I am not sure what I should mark.
I am a doctor - just completed my post grad specilisation in Anesthesia in May. After that due to family issues I could not join a hospital and then my marriage plan got finalized. So I am not working currently and neither do I plan to work in US (since I'll be on H4).
If I select the "Home maker" option then the form doesnt even ask me my educational background. I am not sure if I am selecting the correct option. Can absence on educational background on the form affect my visa processing in any way ? I have completed my MBBS & MS - if that matters to the consulate but it wont get reflected in the form with the homemaker option.
Thanks
